Implants

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root replacement used to support restorations that resemble a tooth or group of teeth. There are several types of dental implants. Although there are a number of restorative options for the treatment of missing teeth, none have proven to be as effective and durable as implants. Implants offer a permanent solution to tooth loss. A single implant can serve to support a crown, replacing a single missing tooth, or an implant can be used to support a bridge for the replacement of multiple missing teeth.  Implants can also be used with dentures to increase stability and reduce gum tissue irritation. Procedural advancements, including the development of narrower “mini” implants, enable more people than ever before to be good candidates for implants.
